Towson – Hopkins Open Thread. Comment Away…

Hopkins D vs. Towson 2011
Game time folks. Last year it was 10-6 Hopkins over Towson in their opener. Both teams were fairly young. Hopkins is looking stacked on paper and not much noise is being made about Towson under head coach Shawn Nadelen.

Use this post as your forum to talk about the game, talk trash, make predictions, or rehash events.

I’ve got this one 12-9 Hopkins and Woody see Hopkins taking it 14-6. What do you think?

I’ll start. The game should have been played at 7. I blame ESPNU!

Agreed! Those on the Pacific Time Zone are still at work!!

Speaking of those at work without ESPN3 access and forgot to set the DVR…anyone know a good website where you can stream it for free? Longshot, but do share.

Thank God for the old DVR… but more specifically the roommate who is working from home today and can set the DVR since Xfinity’s apps are garbage.

Stanwick getting lots of PT for Hopkins. JHU 5-3 at the half

that hit on wharton was ridiculous.  Late, high and cheap.  Not as bad as it could have been, but pretty egregious.  It does say something for always keeping your head up though.

Towson didn’t look terrible at all.  Hopkins just looked a lot better.  There is a definite confidence there!

while thanking them for broadcasting it at all, of course?

Anyone know why Boland was crying on the sidelines? I was having a nerf sword fight with my kids during that.

  • Ray McCarthy

towson could have hung in there if they didn’t turn the ball over 25 times. good performance overall though by jhop

hit was on wells stanwick. boland went down on a drive from X in 2nd q and landed funny after getting pushed from behind, seemed like a shoulder issue

  • Clifford Gordon

I don’t know what Petro said to those boys at halftime but a different Hop came out of that locker room. I’m thinking it went something like this…

Quint was right. Towson scored at the 8:56 mark of the 3rd quarter and the refs didn’t see it. What a shame. 2 goal swing as Hopkins collected the rebound and sprinted downfield to score a transition goal. Would have cut the score to 7-4, instead it was 8-3 Jays.
