The Best Lacrosse League in the World Crowns a New Champ

With apologies to Long Island, Philadelphia, and whoever else feels differently, the best and deepest high school lacrosse league held its championship game Friday night at Towson University. 16-1 Calvert Hall squared off against an improbable opponent in 12-5 Gilman School. While at Towson University last night, I had an opportunity to kill a little time before the MIAA championship game. That meant stuffing some food down my gullet, nervously fidgeting with my phone, and visiting some of the vendor booths on the concourse.
