Tom – Desk jockey, lax addict, Gimp fan, blogging want-to-be, parent, coach, Powerball hopeful, all-around nice guy who smells pretty good to boot….most of the time. That’s me in a nutshell. Born in the heart of the Hudson Valley and settled in the mean streets of Catonsville, MD, this blog is my creative outlet. I figure it’s a decent way to indulge my fondness for the game of lacrosse and the written word. I excel at neither, but I’ve never let that stop me.

What’s this blog all about? I haven’t quite figured that out yet. I guess my plan is to simply share my thoughts and experiences about the game, the characters in the game, and whatever else I feel like writing about.

So, welcome to 24 Seven Lax, my guilty pleasure; well, one of them anyway. Feel free to suggest ideas, comment, complain, whatever. I may even listen. Enjoy.

Woody

Woody – Middle aged adolescent. That’s me in three words or less. I’m certain that my refusal to mature intellectually or take anything , including myself, very seriously is what keeps the grey hairs away. So when I’m not entertaining my three kids, struggling to complete some home improvement project or workin’ for the man, I’m living and breathing lacrosse.

As a young buck growing up in Glen Burnie, MD, I got hooked on the crank shots of Brian Wood and the split dodges of Del Dressel and I’ve been a lax junkie ever since.  I’ve migrated northwest to the town of Catonsville where I’m currently livin’ the dream.  This is my 28th season of playing lacrosse and I enjoy it now just as much as I did when I scored my first goal way back when. Now someone has been foolish enough to grant me a forum to share my love for the fastest game on two feet. Hopefully he won’t regret it.

So thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me and welcome to 24sevenlax.com. I hope you find my posts interesting and entertaining. Tell me what you think, where I’m right and how you’re wrong. I’m sure in the end we’ll both agree that lax is life.
